About Us

The White Hart is on the main street of Ashby De La Zouch. We are a 17th century Coaching Inn known as the pub with the bear in the cellar as in the pub's early days, the landlord kept a bear in the cellar to control rowdy customers at closing time. We still have a bear, although it’s stuffed! The White Hart is found on the main street running through the historical market town of Ashby De La Zouch, and is a great place to meet friends during the day for hot pub food and a drink. In the evening the inn provides entertainment and is ideal for those looking for a party. We are not only famous for Bears but also live pub music on Sundays - a showcase for various local talents. We serve food till late all week and it can be enjoyed indoors or alfresco on our patio area.
